MILWAUKEE TOOL (AUSTRALIA) (NEW ZEALAND) EXPANDS WARNINGS & INSTRUCTIONS FOR M18™ REDLITHIUM™ HIGH DEMAND™ 9.0Ah BATTERY PACK

Milwaukee Tool (Australia) (New Zealand) is voluntarily expanding the warnings and instructions for the MILWAUKEE M18 REDLITHIUM™ HIGH DEMAND 9.0Ah battery pack (M18B9 battery).

If highly conductive or corrosive fluids get inside the MILWAUKEE M18 REDLITHIUM™ HIGH DEMAND 9.0Ah battery pack in sufficient quantities, they can cause the battery pack to fail. Failure can include short-circuit which, in the extreme situation, can result in smoking or fire, even when not in use. Examples of highly conductive or corrosive fluids include seawater, certain industrial chemicals and bleach or bleach-containing products.

The following Safety Instructions will be added to the M18B9 battery:

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, PERSONAL INJURY, AND PRODUCT DAMAGE DUE TO A SHORT CIRCUIT, NEVER IMMERSE YOUR TOOL, BATTERY PACK OR CHARGER IN FLUID OR ALLOW A FLUID TO FLOW INSIDE THEM. CORROSIVE OR CONDUCTIVE FLUIDS, SUCH AS SEAWATER, CERTAIN INDUSTRIAL CHEMICALS, AND BLEACH OR BLEACH CONTAINING PRODUCTS, ETC., CAN CAUSE A SHORT CIRCUIT.

READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

This safety notice does not require users to return their M18 REDLITHIUM™ HIGH DEMAND 9.0Ah battery.
